A quick Sunday workout
And here’s another try to run 4k during the 10k Quick Training run with Jay Blahnik. I’ll spare you a long story and when telling you, that again I didn’t make it ![]()
It was a close one this time and despite my good start the 4k mark was still too ambitious. Maybe I would have reached my goal if there hadn’t been these annoying U-turns during two of my speed intervals
But, we live life in present and not in conditional tense, thus I shouldn’t blame the turns or the bad timing of those speed intervals, but just my running too slow.

Should I be disappointed or happy with this workout? Honest, I can’t tell how I feel about it. I’m a bit frustrated about the two unfortunate (30s and 45s lasting) speed intervals but on the other hand I gave it my all on the last speed interval and didn’t bail out early, and thus should be delighted with my performance.
Considering how my performance has improved recently, there are plenty of reasons why I should be optimistic that I’ll reach my short-term goal very very soon.
